By spending only half-days on Saturdays, you could begin a new, rewarding career as a Dental Assistant….
A career of helping people improve their dental health can be rewarding and enormously satisfying. In a dental office, no two days are ever the same, and the job continuously renews itself. Dental Assisting is a career that will always be in demand and in need of enthusiastic, trained and caring individuals. You could be one of them!
Dear Prospective Student:
The course at N.O.D.C. School for Dental Assisting is designed to give our students maximum “hands-on” training in a real dental office. The dental office is closed to the public during classes, in order to allow students to learn without the stress of on-the-job training. You are not expected to already know everything. You are just expected to work hard, study well and learn!
The teaching is stimulating, fast paced, and relies heavily on your participation. In clinic/lab activities, there is a small student-to-instructor ratio, for individualized attention. An excellent textbook is used (yes, there are reading assignments and homework), so school time can be spent learning the “hands-on” skills.
The course is conducted on fifteen (15) consecutive Saturdays, so it is possible to have the training you need to start your career in Dental Assisting without interfering with any weekday work or school obligations!
Our next 15-week Dental Assisting Course will begin on July 28, 2018.*
We will have an Open House to answer any questions you may have about our course and give a brief tour of our office and training facility. The Open House will be on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.* Please come anytime during the Open House.
We recommend you request information about our course soon, since the class tends to fill quickly--sometimes before the Open House.
Please call (504) 341-0003 to request more detailed information about our school. If you are thinking of entering the next class, please call (504) 347-6000 to schedule a tour of our office and training facility and pick up a school catalog, which includes all the information you need to make an informed decision. Don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in our next class (and the start of your career as a Dental Assistant)!
