DENTAL ASSISTING PROGRAM

A career of helping people improve their dental health can be rewarding and enormously satisfying. In a dental office, no two days are ever the same, and the job continuously renews itself. There is a real need for enthusiastic, trained and caring dental assistants.
You could be one of them!

Program Information

The course is conducted in the actual dental office of Dr. Wendy Maes, in which she and her associates treat patients during the week.  The course is taught by practicing dental professionals and occurs in fifteen (15) consecutive sessions—all held on Saturdays. It is possible to have the training you need without interfering with weekday work or school obligations!

Program Cost

The total cost of tuition is $3700.00 and is payable by check, cash or credit card. A loan for the tuition can be made through Gulf Coast Bank, for those who qualify, at www.gulfbank.com. Once on the home page go to personal, lending solutions, personal loans and then apply online under the secured and unsecured and educational line of credit section. As of 8/1/16 we are unable to accept Care Credit payments as they will no longer offer consumer financing for tuition.
Please do not apply to Care Credit for your tuition as we will not be able to accept it.

What is the Career Demand for Dental Assistants?

The job opportunities for trained dental assistants are quite good in today’s marketplace. While no one can guarantee job placement, the dental profession is currently facing a shortage of trained assistants. Doctors may call our school asking for a list of recent graduates, and we inform our current class of any doctors needing dental assistants so they may apply directly for those positions. It is possible to obtain a dental assistant position even before completing the course!

What Can Graduates of the Course Expect to Earn at Their First Jobs?

Offices in a metropolitan area generally pay higher salaries than those in suburban areas, and different parts of the country have different pay ranges for their employees. Graduates of our course can expect to start well above the pay scale of those with no experience, but less than experienced dental assistants. As your experience and skills develop with time on the job, your salary level should also rise.

Our Commitment

We are committed to helping enthusiastic, dedicated individuals achieve their goals of becoming trained dental assistants and focus on teaching practical, “real world” skills used every day in the dental office. Our instructors are available for additional tutoring in order to help you successfully complete the dental assisting course.
